Hoping to semi-automate my home, however I am currently renting and not able to mess around with electrics or change sockets/switches. Most switches look like this and some of them control multiple lights: https://i.imgur.com/0Fsf2C0.jpg

So far I have two wifi plugs, and we control the TVs using Chromecast. I'd love to get a bit more control over the lighting but I'm not sure what my options are.
Considering a few Hue bulbs and LED strips, but is there anything else I could do? I'm quite keen to automate some night lights – was thinking of combining some LED strips with a motion sensor during sleeping hours. Would that work?
Any advice is appreciated!
